The Board of Directors of the Energy Association for Sustainable Development held a meeting with the Technical Supervision Department at the Ministry of Energy, where the meeting discussed ways to support and encourage the establishment of non-profit organizations in the energy sector and enhance the efficiency of their technical performance, in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. The meeting also discussed overcoming the difficulties facing associations in achieving their goals.
The meeting also addressed activating the role of social responsibility of energy associations, by raising awareness and commitment to the goals of sustainable development, in addition to encouraging social innovation, and enhancing the culture of volunteer work in the sector. The Technical Supervision Department stressed the importance of building cooperative and partnership relationships for community development and developing the capabilities of the national workforce, in addition to supporting activities related to social innovation and social investment.
The meeting highlighted the importance of preparing a database for research and studies in social development in the energy sector, with the aim of enhancing cooperation between the ministry and specialized agencies and providing innovative solutions that support development and sustainability in the sector.
